We’re so excited to introduce you to our newest member of the team, Elizabeth Carpenton, Partner Engagement Leader. She’s been hard at work already with our upcoming Hunger Walk!

Elizabeth is a Charlotte native (one of the few!) and comes to us from Matthews United Methodist Church where she was a Children’s and Youth Ministry Associate. She’s a graduate of Appalachian State University and has a Masters of Divinity in social ethics from Union Theological Seminary.

“I’m a Union County resident with a heart helping people feel seen, heard, and valued. I’m excited for the opportunity to share with churches and businesses about the amazing impact Common Heart is making in our community and how they can help,” she said. “The people at Common Heart are the best part. From staff to volunteers, everyone is so nice, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the work they are doing.”

Elizabeth lives in Stallings with her husband, Andrew, and their 20 month-old daughter, Faye. She enjoys crafting, reading and playing outside with her family. Elizabeth is a coffee lover and a sucker for a cute mug. Welcome, Elizabeth!
