Delivering groceries isn’t just for Thanksgiving! Our Cupboard Ally volunteers deliver groceries (and hope!) to families once a month!

It’s a very unique and special volunteer opportunity to not just serve these food insecure neighbors, but to also build friendships! One of our Ally volunteers said recently that she enjoys sending Birthday and Thinking of You cards to her neighbors. Another volunteer said that one of the families she serves has a pecan tree in their yard and always has a bag ready for her.

We currently have a waiting list of 30+ families who need monthly delivery! These families cannot attend our evening pantries — some are elderly, others work during that time, they have special dietary needs or a disability. This is a great way to make a long-term impact and you may even make a new friend or two! Online training is required.
