‘What Getting Ahead means to me …’

My experience in Getting Ahead was awesome! The information I acquired in this group, l’ve been able to utilize. How, you may ask? I learned to:

  • Make time for the things that matter most
  • Refuse Excuses. …Remove Distractions. …Commit to Deadlines
  • Help a neighbor & build strong communities
  • Celebrate me because I matter
  • Become an entrepreneur to be an overcomer

Also, in our group we learned networking and how to communicate more efficiently with each other and how poverty affects all walks of life. There are many resources you can acquire to stay ahead of your adversities and l discovered we all had similar stories to share and tell. Our group as a whole briefly discussed that this was a useful tool. You actually become a resource and develop skill sets that empower you to succeed in your every day life.

To our graduating members, thank you for taking this journey toward a better future a better you. I encourage you to invite other people to join the Getting Ahead community toward a better future. It’s a great start.

Thanks to our guests for coming out to help encourage our graduates to take the beginning journey toward a positive future. We’re in this together!
