Safety first! New volunteer guidelines

Summer’s winding down and we hope you’re enjoying these last days of vacation. As high school and college students head back to school (good luck!!) we’ve got weekday gaps to fill in our volunteer family.
The opportunities include sorting incoming donations, packing food for our neighbors, working at our mobile pantries and light office work.
If you can help, please check out upcoming opportunities and sign up on our website.

With the recent uptick in the number of COVID cases we’re implementing some new procedures to help keep all volunteers and neighbors we serve as safe as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the guidelines as needed.
These guidelines include:

  • Masks required at all volunteer activities regardless of vaccination status.
  • We are limiting the number of volunteers at our sites. Volunteers need to reserve a slot at Volunteer.CommonHeart.org. Only volunteers with a reserved slot may volunteer.
  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms or who has been exposed to COVID in the last 2 weeks will not be allowed to volunteer.
  • After volunteering, if you develop symptoms and/or receive a positive COVID test please notify us immediately.

In this small revolution of kindness, it’s all about loving our neighbors.
