Hunger Walk is going virtual!

While we can’t safely gather in-person this year, you can still take steps to end local hunger! The VIRTUAL Common Heart Hunger Walk is a great chance to join in solidarity to raise awareness about hunger in our community and raise funds to support Common Heart’s food pantry programs.

On Sunday, March 7 go for a walk around your neighborhood, a park, or anywhere else you desire. Along the way, share photos online and know that hundreds of your neighbors are also walking in support of ending local hunger and poverty at the same time!

It is hard to believe…

  • In Union County, it’s estimated over 30,000 adults and children are hungry or facing the threat of hunger. That’s 14.5% of our county.
  • In 2020, Common Heart served 17,523 individuals an average of 4 times. That’s 58% of the food insecure residents in Union County.

Last year, Common Heart’s 9 food pantry locations provided over 1,046,635 meals to an average of 1,400 families each month.
