“With inflation, we’re struggling to make ends meet and we make just a little too much to qualify for food stamps.” This was a Facebook message we got recently from a Mom who, like so many of our neighbors right now, is facing food insecurity.
You can help our neighbors in a BIG way as Kickstart Kindness continues!!
So far, 40 of our friends have either set up a recurring monthly donation or given a special gift bringing the total matched donations to $8,847. We’re off to a great start but have a long way to go to get the entire $50K match by May 8!
Will you join them and Kickstart Kindness today? You can use this link to donate or set up your monthly donation. Donate.CommonHeart.org
Your donation is important because this rising tide of kindness is facing its MOST CHALLENGING MOMENT in its 16 year history.
Food supplied by the USDA to pantries like ours is being decreased to 2018 levels! In 2018 we served 7,500 people, and today it is over 13,000! Friend, how can we continue to serve over 13,000 people on a food budget designed for 7,500? Only with the support of friends like you!
That’s why some friends have created the $50,000 Kickstart Kindness Challenge Match running now through May 8.
Your generosity makes it work:
Can our neighbors count on your support in this most challenging time?
Make your donation at Donate.CommonHeart.org or mail a check, payable to Common Heart, to PO Box 2761, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
Food drives are welcome and encouraged! Here’s our new Food Drive Tool Kit with everything you need to know about collecting food donations.
Nonperishables can be dropped off in Indian Trail (116 Business Park Drive, Suite A) Wed-Fri between 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and Sat between 9 a.m.-Noon. In Marshville (6022 Marshville Blvd), drop off on Saturdays between 9 a.m.-Noon.
Whether your donation is $10 or $100 or even $1,000, the Kickstart Kindness match fund will multiply your impact!
Thank you so much for your partnership as this small revolution of kindness grows throughout our community.
