We got a Facebook message from “Mary” last week with a sentiment that too many parents in our community are facing this summer.
“I’m a single Mom of 2 barely making ends meet. Now that the kids are out of school they eat ALL DAY,” she said. “I’m drowning trying to keep groceries in the house. We need help, please!”
They’re caught in the gap, she said, between making just a little too much to qualify for food stamps but not enough to cover all their needs this summer. 1 in 8 children in Union County are hungry. There are many parents, just like Mary, who are struggling to feed their children this summer.
Please act now to provide a lifeline for these families! This amazing “small revolution of kindness” always comes through — your help is needed today! If you haven’t yet made your special summer gift yet, please don’t wait. Mary and families like hers are counting on us!
Your donations make a difference!
Thank you for being a part of this small revolution of kindness,
