We’re less than 3 WEEKS AWAY from the Common Heart Hunger Walk and are building a community of kind folks willing to take steps to end local hunger! 

We met a new neighbor last week for an emergency box of food. This local Mom  “almost cried” when she saw the eggs, fresh produce, dairy products and frozen meat, Alexis McDonald, our Cupboard Ally Program Leader, said. 

“She thought it would just be canned goods and couldn’t believe it. She said she didn’t know how they were going to make it though the rest of the week without this food.”

Our 9th annual Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, March 2 at Crooked Creek Park in Indian Trail. Registration is $35 for adults and $15 for children ages 12 and younger and includes a T-shirt. A family discount of $125 is available for households of 5 or more.

Wagons, strollers and leashed dogs welcome! FREE kids activities and a Bark Zone sponsored by our friends at Passionate Paws Animal Hospital for the pups and their humans!
