For 20 years, you’ve shown up! Our neighbors need us this summer!

Twenty years ago, there was no Common Heart warehouse, office, truck, or staff. There were simply neighbors helping neighbors.
And that same spirit is still alive in our community — and this summer, it’s urgently needed. Will you make a special 20th summer gift today to keep food on the table for local children and families?Just last week we met Megan, a mom just trying to care for her young son after her husband left their home and a stack of bills. “That’s why I’m here so I can get back on my feet again. It’s been really tough,” she said. Her reaction when she saw all the groceries being loaded into her car was priceless: “This is like Christmas.”
Her story is a reminder that summer is one of the hardest seasons for families facing hunger. Children lose access to regular school meals, grocery costs rise, food supplies run low, and more than 10,000 neighbors are turning to Common Heart each month.
For 20 years, whenever the need has grown, friends like you have shown up.
When we began by sharing food with about 50 neighbors in 2006, others quickly joined us to give and serve. When we opened our first evening pantry in 2012, friends like you made it possible.
When the number of neighbors served grew from about 7,500 in 2019 to more than 17,500 in 2020, you stood behind families during an extraordinary season of need.
And this past year, as more than 10,000 volunteers served nearly 23,000 neighbors, your generosity continued to provide food, hope, and the reassurance that families were not alone.
That is what we recognize today — not simply the anniversary of an organization, but 20 years of a community choosing kindness, compassion, and action.
Now, we need to do it again.
Your special 20th summer gift can make a meaningful difference during this difficult time for local families:
$20 provides a kids’ snack bag$200 helps feed a family for a week$2,000 provides training and support that helps a family move toward greater stability.
Food is going out quickly, and your generosity is needed today to help make sure children and families have food on the table this summer.
Together, we can keep showing up — with food, hope, and kindness.
Give today to support our neighbors!
