We’re thrilled to introduce Steven Castro, Cupboard Manager! Since joining us a few months ago, Steven says “everyone has been welcoming, helpful, and patient,” which is what our volunteers say about him! 

With a background in logistics and lots of nonprofit volunteer experience, Steven has quickly become an asset to our Common Heart food pantry team. 

“I wanted to work at Common Heart because I realize how meaningful it is to be part of helping others,” he said. “I want to be involved in something bigger and be right in the middle of making a difference in the community. I’ve loved getting to know the team better and being part of work that positively impacts people every day.”

Steven is a native of Columbia and his wife is from Honduras “so good food is a big part of our house,” he said. They have three young children and a Goldendoodle. 

In his spare time, he enjoys working out, playing soccer, trying new restaurants, listening to podcasts, and spending time with his kids.
