“Before Getting Ahead, it was like I was always in a bind. My world was crashing and I always felt alone. Getting Ahead gives you the resources and tools that you need. I’m just thankful that I did get the opportunity to learn more and work on myself and not just for me, for my children. I don’t want to be stuck in one spot.”
~Zania Barbour, Getting Ahead graduate
Our current Getting Ahead empowerment group is graduating and YOU’RE INVITED!
Please join us for dinner on Thursday, Dec. 18 at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church in Monroe and help us celebrate these hard-working neighbors! These participants – we call them investigators – put in a lot of long hours assessing our community’s conditions and building resources to begin their own journeys out of poverty and into stability. RSVP here.
Our next Getting Ahead session starts Jan. 13 and there are lots of ways you can help these hard-working families as they start their journeys out of poverty.
