“I’ve never felt this much kindness.” That was the reaction from our neighbor “Ben,” who stopped by last week seeking food that would fit his special dietary needs. It took several days to get up the courage to reach out for help, he said, and we’re so glad he did! 

Your donations during this Kickstart Kindness $50,000 matching grant fund help neighbors like “Ben,” who lives in an RV and only has a microwave for cooking. In addition to emergency groceries that fit his doctor-ordered diet, he is now part of our Cupboard Ally monthly delivery program.  

With just over 2 WEEKS LEFT in our matching grant challenge, it’s time to Kickstart Kindness into high gear! This challenge ends May 9!

One of the projects included in this year’s Kickstart Kindness match, if complete, will double the number of neighbors receiving special dietary foods through our Common Cupboard pantry and will enable us to forge new partnerships in the medical sector! 

The goal of this year’s matching grant fund is to kickstart four important initiatives this year. (See below!) Through May 9, your one-time donation will be matched dollar for dollar!  PLUS if you become a monthly donor, you’ll have TRIPLE the impact, adding two dollars for every dollar you pledge in the first month!

Which project will you support?

• Morning Food Pantries: This project will increase the number of Morning Pantries by 50%, bringing the total number to 18 a year.
• Success Coaching: This project moves us from contracted coaches to a staff coach, creating greater flexibility, increased sessions, and doubling the number of individuals served.
• Dietary Program: This project will double the number of neighbors receiving special dietary foods through our Common Cupboard pantry and add new partnerships in the medical sector.
• Emergency Savings Incentive Plan: Our ESIP program encourages economic stability and growth. Those who complete ESIP receive a $500 emergency savings account!
