Turkey Thanksgiving Countdown 2021
Hamming it up in 2021!
Turkeys Thanksgiving Feasts for 1,500 Local Families
Over 500 Volunteers Needed
Every year since 2007, our friends have banded together and delivered frozen turkeys with all the fixin’s to local families in our community who would not have a Thanksgiving Day celebration with out a little help from friends. This year due to COVID and availability, we are continuing the tradition by delivering Thanksgiving Family Meals with Spiral Ham. It’s always been our biggest delivery day of the year and a favorite volunteer activity for so many in our community. The tradition continues this year except we are “hamming it up in 2021!” This year our goal is to provide, with your help, 1,500 Thanksgiving Family Meal Baskets to 1,500 families.
What a difference this simple kindness can make to a family struggling during this pandemic! The Thanksgiving Baskets include everything a family needs to make their own meal — a frozen ham, veggies, stuffing, sweet potatoes, fresh potatoes, dessert and, of course, cranberry sauce!
Delivery Day Volunteer Opportunities
On Saturday November 20 there are many opportunities to volunteer for this annual event. The biggest need is for volunteers to deliver “the feasts” and wish their neighbors a blessed thanksgiving. This year we will again be operating out of our two Union County warehouse-pantries: Indian Trail and Marshville.
To sign up to volunteer please use the form below. The onsite opportunities are limited to individuals 12 years old and older. If you have children younger than 12, we encourage you to deliver “turkeys” as a family and sign up for one of the delivery slots.
